Manual lymph drainage is a specific form of massage therapy that uses a gentle, pumping action to stimulate the lymphatic system and drain the buildup of fluids and toxins. Massage strokes are always performed in the direction of the lymphatic pathways – toward the heart. It targets the lymph nodes and lymph vessels following the body's natural lymphatic pathways. Systems can become sluggish as there is no pump to move the fluids towards the lymph nodes.
